Investigation of the Hydrogen Absorption by the LaNi5 and LaNi4.75Pb0.25 Alloys Using a Statistical Physics Model

A theoretical model was selected among three potentially applicable models and then used to analyze the absorption isotherms of hydrogen storage alloys LaNi5 LaNi4.75Pb0.25 at different temperatures (T = 303 K, 313 323 K). The expressions were based on statistical physics formalism simplifying hypotheses. one with highest correlation experimental data. had six adjustable parameters: number atoms per site n?, n?, receptor densities N?, N? energy parameters P?, P?. fitted obtained for Pb-doped nondoped compared discussed in relationship isotherms. Finally, or further applied calculate thermodynamic functions, such as entropy, Gibbs free internal energy, which govern mechanism.
